New Competition launched 22nd October 2009
Within the next six months pedigree blonde beef will be launched in Ireland as a branded product, with a view towards developing export potential as soon as possible.
We are holding a competition here to help us establish this new brand.
Your suggestions will be welcome and the winner will receive an acknowledgment and a prize of €100.
Pure blonde beef is distinguished by its silky nature, as opposed to coarse beef, which is what Irish consumers are more accustomed to. Traditionally the Irish consumer has demanded marbling content in their beef.
Pure blonde beef is easily distinguished by its soft lean texture, by the absence of white (marbling/collagen) content and by its juicy flavour.
A number of suggestions have been already made. We are seeking your suggestions. We offer only limited guidelines as follows:
1. It needs to identify the product as being irish produced
2. It needs to identify some or all of the characteristics of blonde beef as mentioned above.
Essential understanding:
If your suggestion is taken on board and becomes accepted in part or in full, you must accept that by entering this competition that it (your suggestion) becomes the full property of the irish blonde d'aquitaine cattle breed society cooperative ltd.
Some of the suggestions to date are listed below without prejudice:
- IRISH SILK
- SILK BEEF
- SEOD EIREANN
- IRISH BLONDE
- PURE-BLONDE
- SILKY BLONDE
PLEASE WRITE YOUR ENTRY BELOW. YOU CAN ENTER AS OFTEN AS YOU WISH. PLEASE ADD YOUR NAME AND TELEPHONE NUMBER
