ORGANISATION AND COUNCIL MEMBERS
The Irish Blonde d’Aquitaine Society functions as a limited cooperative. The Society is a member of ICOS, and it is governed by law, and the accounts of the society are audited each year. These accounts are presented for scrutiny at the annual general meeting.
The council is presently made up of by thirteen members, and these members have sub committee functions as outlined below. The council is oblidged to have four official meetings in any one year, though usually there are as many as six or seven.
The council with the assistance of the secretariate organizes the business of the Society, the main matters being shows, sales, the National Ploughing contribution, breed development, financial, and other matters as they arise.
The society is affiliated to ICBF, through which organization, registrations are initiated by breeders: It is the Society which completes the detail of each registration. All pedigree breeders must use the Animal Events system for registrations.
